- Every word in Qtwyqp Qly is constructed in the same manner.

- Usually, root1 is the main root, except in the following cases:
- root1 may be absent.
- A root may have a special meaning when it is in the root2 position.
- In which case, root2 is actually the main root.
- The word may be irregular.
- The meaning of the word is usually close to "root1 characterized by root2".
- Roots are composed of one or two consonants.
- If root1 is h, then the word is interrogative and has no root2.
- The grammatical infixes identify which part of speech the word is.
- Specifically the vowels identify the part of speech.
- Depending on the part of speech, the infixes provide other information.
- Grammatical infixes are either nasal consonants or vowels.
- Every word in Qtwyqp Qly has at least one vowel, if no other letters.
